Dr Franklin Butuyuyu
Dr Franklin graduated from Makerere University in 2003. In 2008 he obtained the MRCGP (UK) in London with the Royal College of General Practitioners where he worked in various Central and West London hospitals training in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Whilst in London he completed training in and obtained the Diploma in Paediatrics and Child health (DCH UK) and the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK)
Together with his family, Dr Franklin moved from the UK to rural Victoria Warracknabeal in 2009 where he has held the FRACGP since 2009.
He and his family enjoy living and working in Warracknabeal. Over the last 16 years he has developed a genuine passion and interest in furthering the health and wellbeing of the regional and rural Victorian population.
Dr Franklin has a broad range of clinical interests, having worked extensively in Complex Chronic Disease, paediatrics with keen interest in childhood development and behaviour conditions, general dermatology and skin cancer surgery.
He is a keen Liverpool supporter who enjoys playing tennis, running or walking to enjoy the beautiful countryside and most especially spending time with his family.
Dr Devine Moyo
Dr Devine graduated from the university of Zimbabwe in 2018. She completed her internship in 2020 then worked in various departments including paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology and emergency.
Dr Devine has recently moved to Australia and is looking forward to furthering her training in general practice.
Outside work Devine enjoys travelling and discovering new places, keeping active and spending quality time with her son.
Registered Nurse
Debbie George
Debbie has obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing, graduating in 2004. She started her nursing career at Ballarat Base Hospital working on the stroke and cardiac ward for many years and became a clinical nurse specialist.
Debbie moved back to Warracknabeal after her first son was born. She then took a break from nursing while raising her 3 children. Debbie returned to nursing on the acute ward at the Warracknabeal Hospital and became a clinical support nurse for graduate and student nurses. Over her years of nursing, she has gained extensive clinical knowledge in clinical supervision and support training. Debbie joined the Wheatfields Family Medical team from our first day in 2020.
Outside of nursing she is focused on her family and enjoys following her children’s sporting interests.
Enrolled Nurse
Lucy Holland
Lucy holds a Diploma of nursing (Endorsed Enrolled Nurse) since 2018 from Federation University. Lucy also holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy from Evolve College.
Before joining Wheatfields Lucy has worked in the acute and aged care sectors. Lucy currently still works in the aged care sector across 2 local organisations.
Lucy also runs her own grazing box platter business – “The last run”, and a massage business “Rural Healing Massage Therapy”.
She is a busy mum to 3 children, with all that entails and is on various local committees.
In her free time Lucy enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with family.
Practice Manager
Melissa Huebner
Melissa has worked in Medical Administration since 2006 and has been responsible for establishing over 10 practices in various towns across Victoria.
She moved back to Warracknabeal in 2017 to be closer to family and has worked with Wheatfields Family Medical since its first day in 2020. Melissa says, “What I love most about my job is the interaction with all the patients. Being a small town really makes the connections that much more special.”
Melissa enjoys spending time with her 3 children; “We love the water and can be found at the local pool or creek paddleboarding or kayaking along the beautiful creeks in the surrounding areas.” She enjoys bushwalking, tennis, pickleball, table tennis and dining out with family and friends.
Receptionist Pam
Pam has worked in many roles such as Banking, Law and Child Care. Pam joined Wheatfields Family Medical at the end of 2020. In her reception role here at Wheatfields Family medical, Pam enjoys communication and interaction with the patients.
To relax outside of work, Pam enjoys machine embroidery, crafting, and photography.
Receptionist Eileen
Eileen moved from Melbourne to Warracknabeal in 2021. She worked in various hospitality roles before joining the Wheatfields Family Medical team in 2024.
Outside of work Eileen keeps busy juggling university studies, sports, weekend trips with her partner and caring for her cat and three chooks, which supply the clinic with beautiful fresh eggs. Eileen is studying a Bachelor of Naturopathy and will graduate in 2028.
